The video for the Vancouver band Waves Through Windows's son Rhythm is a beautifully captured look at the city, using timelapse imagery
We've shared countless timelapse videos that people have submitted to us over the years.
Mostly amateur videographers experimenting with the format, you're certainly familiar with the genre. It generally involves very-Vancouver street scenes, skyscapes and people moving around, set to an epic musical track.
What sets apart the one we're sharing today is that the music actually came first. Not simply a bunch of nice images set to music, this is a music video for the local music project
Waves Through Windows.
Directed by the project's drummer, Rodney Daughtrey, this video for the song
Rhythm not only offers a visually appealing look at life in our city but the music is perfectly in sync with the images that float by. It's a pleasure to watch.
Rodney tells us that it took nearly 2 years and 3000 hours to film, edit, produce, and write the music for. Enjoy the fruits of their labour below.
