Vancouverites woke up to a bluebird sky Wednesday (March 8), marking another dry, crisp day in the city following a long stretch of stormy weather.
But the sunny respite isn't fated to linger into the weekend, according to Environment Canada's updated weekly forecast.
Periods of rain or showers are expected to begin by the end of the week and continue through the weekend and into next week. Before that, however, locals have a couple of chances to soak in some golden rays.
Wednesday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 9 C but there is a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight. Following this, Thursday is expected to see a mix of sun and cloud with another high of 9 C; the overnight forecast includes cloudy periods.
The wet weather is forecasted to commence Friday, with periods of rain during the day and a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight.
The gloomy trend is expected to continue through the weekend into next week.
