Temperatures are expected to climb in Metro Vancouver this week but there is also a chance of precipitation.
Following a long period of dry weather with slightly above-average temperatures, some precipitation is possible starting next weekend.
On Sunday, June 4, Environment Canada calls for bright sunshine and a high of 20 C on the coast dropping to 10 C overnight. While Monday's forecast also includes a daytime high of 20 C, temperatures are expected to rise to 23 C and the overnight low is expected to drop below 14 C.
Tuesday is expected to see significantly warmer weather, with a high on the coast of 23 C and an inland high of 29 C. Similarly, Wednesday's forecast includes a high of 23 C on the coast and 30 C inland.
The hot, dry weather is expected to persist through Thursday but Friday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud during the day. However, the overnight forecast includes a 30 per cent chance of showers that is expected to carry through into Saturday.
