Metro Vancouver might get a few days of desperately-needed precipitation this week.
While Friday, June 9, saw some rain in the region, it followed a long stretch of hot, dry weather, creating dangerous bone-dry conditions.
Starting on Monday, Environment Canada calls for more sunshine, with a high of 22 C on the coast and 27 C inland. With humidity, the temperatures will feel more like 25 C and 29 C, respectively.
Temperatures are expected to dip to 14 C overnight Monday, and there is a 30 per cent chance of showers Tuesday, June 13, in the afternoon as temperatures cool down a couple of degrees.
There is also a chance of showers overnight Tuesday, but Wednesday looks dry, with a mix of sun and cloud expected during the day.
Thursday's forecast includes a 40 per cent chance of showers during the day and a 60 per cent chance of them overnight. Friday's forecast includes the possibility of wet weather throughout the day, too.
Heading into the weekend, Saturday may see some precipitation during the day but the overnight forecast includes cloudy but dry periods. However, Sunday may see some showers.
