Locals looking to get a suntan this weekend are completely out of luck -- but they may have a chance to enjoy a few sunny moments.
Environment Canada calls for another gloomy, wet week in the Lower Mainland, complete with at least a chance of precipitation every day and temperatures that are slightly above the seasonal average, although they won't exactly feel warm.
Periods of rain are expected overnight on Friday (Jan.13), however, Saturday may see some respite from the dreary onslaught. There is a 40 per cent chance of showers throughout the day, while the nighttime forecast looks cloudy but dry.
Sunday is expected to be wet, with a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day and rain overnight.
Heading into next week, locals should brace for several soggy days, as a "strong low" continues to drench B.C.'s south coast with rainfall from Monday through Thursday.
Daytime highs are expected to range between 6 C and 12 C while overnight lows may dip down between 3 C and 8 C.
