A year after a weeks-long drought and infamous heat dome hit Vancouver, a repeat doesn't appear to be in the cards.
The Metro Vancouver area will be cloudy for most of the start of July, according to Environment Canada, though not much precipitation should fall.
Sunday and Monday will see the rain, with clouds and showers already over the city right now. Environment Canada's forecast shows periods of rain through Sunday, turning to showers overnight and through Monday, with a high of 17 C both days.
Tuesday, July 5, will see a brief return to sunshine with a high of 22 C and clear skies into the night, but Wednesday will see clouds move into the area.
The rest of the week is expected to be grey but stable, with highs in the low 20s, lows around 15 C and cloudy skies into the weekend.
