The VCC-Clark SkyTrain station in Vancouver has been closed Thursday afternoon (Sept. 26) due to a safety concern with a crane on an adjacent site. Millennium Line SkyTrain service is stopping at Commercial-Broadway.

TransLink is cautioning transit users that the VCC–Clark Station remains "temporarily closed for the safety of the public" Thursday afternoon (Sept. 26).

Earlier today, a crane issue at a site by the station prompted the closure. On the TransLink website, an alert elaborates that the issue is an "unstable crane."

Millennium Line SkyTrain service is terminating at Commercial–Broadway Station, says TransLink.

Bus Route 84 has been rerouted and extended from VCC–Clark Station to Commercial–Broadway Station.

Extra bus service has also been deployed between Main Street–Science World Station and Glen Drive, near VCC–Clark Station.

TransLink has additional staff and security deployed to assist customers at Commercial–Broadway Station and outside VCC–Clark Station.

The Expo Line and Canada Line are unaffected by the closure and will continue providing regular service.

Customers seeking alternative routes to SkyTrain can use the TransLink Trip Planner online and select "Exclude SkyTrain" under advanced search settings. Customers can also phone TransLink's Customer Information desk at 604-953-3333.
