"We did not see the plate holder until they were stopped"

Vancouver police pulled over a car caught travelling double the speed limit with a anti-police license plate holder.

It was no secret how one driver pulled over for speeding felt about the police.

Recently, the Vancouver Police Department's traffic section stopped a vehicle they tracked doing double the speed limit, recorded at 104 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in the 3000 block of East Hastings Street.

In a social media post, the VPD shared a photo of their radar gun and the back of the car, noting the message written on the license plate holder.

"We did not see the plate holder until they were stopped 😊," wrote the VPD Traffic Section on X/Twitter.

The three-word message on the plate holder is not subtle, stating "F*** The Police!" in bold white letters, sharing a sentiment in alignment with the NWA song.

The photo was initially posted to the VPD's X/Twitter without blurring the offensive word, but the VPD subsequently deleted and reposted the image after blurring most of the word.

The car was impounded and the driver was fined (for speeding, not for the message).

The VPD did not respond to questions from V.I.A. about the incident by the time of publication.
