A 42-year-old man was stabbed in the Granville Street Entertainment District and suffered life-threatening injuries, say Vancouver Police.
On Sunday (Jan. 22) around 9:40 p.m., officers patrolling the area near Granville and Smithe streets were flagged by the victim following the attack, according to a news release.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but is expected to recover.
The VPD believes the victim and the suspect know each other.
"The suspect has not been arrested, but we don’t believe it was random," VPD Sgt. Steve Addison tells V.I.A.
An investigation is ongoing.
