While many were annoyed by the Nov. 29 snowstorm in the Lower Mainland, one Vancouver mammal was very much enamoured by what was falling from the sky.
Natoa, the Steller sea lion pup born this summer at the Vancouver Aquarium, was quite taken by the snow as it fell on him.
He perched himself on a rock in the seal cove section for about 15 minutes, according to staff. He stared at the sky as snow fell and tried to bite the flakes.
In the video, staff ask him what he's up to.
Natoa's mom, Rogue, gave birth to the little pinniped on July 23, 2022. He was named after a place in Alaska where sea lions breed.
