Things will start wet this week, but clearer weather is following close behind.
A small system is arriving in Vancouver late Sunday with up to 20 mm of rain and winds gusting up to 40 km/h in some areas of the city overnight. That'll carry through into Monday, Jan/ 16, as up to 10 mm of rain and moderate winds are expected earlier in the day.
The system will also cool the city off a bit, after a weekend high cracking 13 C, but it'll also keep temperatures stable. The high on Monday is expected to sit at 7 C, while the low will be 6 C.
Tuesday will be similar, but toned down as there's a 60 per cent chance of showers and no significant wind predicted, though the rain may pick up again later in the day. A high of 7 C and low of 5 C is forecast.
Wednesday things will be clearing up; while there's still a 60 per cent chance of showers, the sun will be fighting to break through as well, with patches of blue sky expected. Along with that comes more unstable temperatures, with a high of 8 C and low of 1 C.
Thursday should be the nicest day of the week, but also the coolest, with a mix of sun and clouds and temperatures peaking at 5 C and as low as 0 C.
As the weekend approaches light showers may return, with a 30 per cent chance of precipitation forecast on Friday, with a high of 7 C.
