A video on social media shows a woman berating a Metro Vancouver RCMP officer for giving her a ticket after she used her cellphone while driving.

A video circulating on social media shows a woman berating a Metro Vancouver RCMP officer who issued her a ticket for using her cellphone while driving.

The woman recorded her encounter with the officer on her cellphone, which she shared on Facebook Live. In the video, she tells the officer that she is a "sovereign citizen" and that she refuses to "contract with" him.

"You can't give me a ticket for having a hands-free device on my phone," she says.

In response, the officer says: "You can tell the judge you were on Facebook Live while you were driving."

The woman adds: "You're all disgusting human beings."

Redditor spyder728 shared a video of the encounter on the social media platform Friday (April 30).

Customer who refuses to wear mask abuses Richmond pet store worker

Another video has surfaced on social media of a store worker being verbally abused in Richmond.

This time it appears to be a pet store employee in Terra Nova that’s getting it in the neck from someone refusing to wear a mask.

The video appears to be filmed by the same woman who posted her encounter with the RCMP officer on Facebook Live. In it, she claims to have proof of being medically exempt from wearing a mask.

However, when she is asked to leave Bosley’s by Pet Valu on Westminster Highway, she launched into a rant about being denied service to buy dog food.

When told by the employee that the store can deny service, the customer appears to produce a “charter of human rights” before labelling the employees “absolutely disgusting.”

The irate customer in question also appears to be the same woman who filmed herself getting arrested on the Canada Line late last year, also for refusing to wear a mask.

The video shows an officer donning a face mask and standing in front of the unmasked woman who is filming the video. She repeatedly tells the officer that she can't wear a mask and shows him a medical exemption card. However, he calmly tells her that she will have to leave the train if she does not put on a facial covering.
