Watch: Are these dogs the cutest baseball fans in Vancouver?

Have you ever taken your dog to a baseball game?

A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel at Nat Bailey Stadium's 2023 Dog Day of Summer event

The 2023 Dog Day of Summer took place at Nat Bailey Stadium Tuesday night (June 27), with a total of 607 dogs in attendance.

Compare that to the sell-out crowd of 6,413 and the equation was nearly one dog for every 10 humans!

This occasion comes but once a year and offers two distinct opportunities:

1. You can take your dog to the ballpark and allow them the joy of attending a game, while also meeting other dogs and getting petted by hundreds of humans.

2. You can go to the game minus dog, enjoy the wonderful game of baseball, and get to pet hundreds of dogs.

If you missed this year's festivities and you hope to attend next summer (with or without a pooch in tow) keep your eye on the Vancouver Canadians' social media accounts, specifically their Instagram at @vancanadians, where they keep fans (of baseball and dogs) up to speed on everything happening with our local ball team.

Through nine innings I was able to pet all of the dogs - all 607 of them - and put together this highlight reel of some of the cutest ones, along with what I feel their major league team affiliations might be.
