Every month since September of 2005, the Regional Assembly of Text on Main Street has been holding a letter writing club where they invite people to come in and use one of their awesome vintage typewriters (like 30 of them) to write letters to their loved ones, for free.
I happened to chance by last Thursday when the club had gathered and made note first of the calming chatter of typing, then this mailbox which sits a half of a block up Main. I can only imagine the amount of heartfelt letters that have been deposited into this thing after being written during one of the club meetings over the past 4 years.
