Did you know that the BC Forest Service is celebrating its centenary right now? Celebrations were officially launched on February 27th, 2012 - 100 years to the day of the signing of the 1912 Forest Act which created the BC Forest Service - and will continue until next February throughout the province.
What does the BC Forest Service do exactly? They preserve our forests through forest fire prevention, use of timber management areas, tree planting and the diversification of tree-growing.
