While kayaking offers a great workout at any time of day, kayaking at nightfall offers a spellbinding experience that is hard to beat.
Illuminated by starlight and the glow of the moon, the water is extremely calm during the night. What's more, there is very little traffic and boat noise, which makes for a serene, tranquil excursion.
Deep Cove Kayak offers Friday Night Lights: a spectacular guided group kayak tour of the Indian Arm under the stars.
The journey starts at dusk, and the guided tour is approximately two-and-a-half hours long. As you make your way experienced guides will describe the history of Indian Arm, as well as details about the area’s geography. In addition, you’ll learn all about the fascinating wildlife that calls the area home.
In addition, the operators offer an adventure out on the night of the full moon. During this hauntingly beautiful excursion, guests will watch the moon rise over the eastern mountains and flood Indian Arm with its silvery light.
The weather is starting to warm up in the Lower Mainland, but organizers recommend that you dress warmly for the evening tours. Further, it is recommended that people have a little bit of kayaking experience before they embark on the excursion.
