The City of Vancouver Archives has scanned and uploaded a catalogue from McClellan and McFeely, originally published in 1908! It's 1,480 pages long and contains a ton of interesting products from this Vancouver supplier of pretty much everything but food. Browse the catalog or download the entire thing as a massive PDF file.

My favourite section is "Guns, Rifles, Ammunition and General Sporting Goods", which is where I found this sweet, wooden fishing lure:

At $12.50 a dozen, each of these lures cost $1.04, which is insane for the early 1900's. Considering you could buy a revolver from this same catalogue for $3, and then taking that number and weighing it against the current day prices on revolvers from Reliable Gun on Fraser Street (HERE), which are on average $800, my (admittedly sometimes skewed) logic concludes that you're looking at what would amount to a $280 fishing lure at today's prices!
