You might recall the POST that wee little Arlo made last week about a secret that I was keeping which involved shoes? Well, that secret has officially launched today and I am happy to report that we've partnered with the Nike Reuse-A-Shoe drive that's running in Vancouver over the coming weeks. The program, in partnership with VANOC, will collect old running shoes to refurbish a court surface somewhere in this city of ours.
The shoes collected will be recycled into Nike Grind, a material used in creating athletic and playground surfaces, as well as select Nike products. This is to say that the very shoes that you bring in will be recycled into an actual piece of Vancouver that you'll be able to take advantage of! How cool is that?

We'll be making more posts about it as the drive continues, giving you a closer look at Nike Grind and the Reuse-A-Shoe program, but for now why not visit one of these stores and drop off your old kicks?
