This B.C. riverfront lodge is selling for less than a Metro Vancouver house

A 12-bedroom wilderness lodge visited by bears and seals versus a Cambie Village townhouse

Imagine a place in B.C.'s Lower Mainland with 1,000 feet of riverfront property selling for $2 million.

Unfortunately, deals like that are imaginary in Metro Vancouver, given the current real estate market. However, there is one place in B.C. offering so much land for that price tag as part of a nearly 94-acre property for sale featuring forest, a beautiful lodge, and plenty of camping spaces.

The Silver Springs RV and Lodging Resort is currently on the market for $2 million even.

It's on one of B.C.'s biggest and most famous rivers, the Skeena, located just north of Terrace.

The main lodge is a large structure built for accommodation with 12 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, along with several other features, including a sauna and a billiards room with a bar.

There are also 30 spaces for RVs and camping, a boat launch, and space for campfires.

As it's off the grid there are also solar panels and a diesel generator.

Given its location north of Terrace, wildlife is a big draw to the area, including bears. Seals also occasionally swim up the Skeena, following the salmon will into the interior of B.C.

It's located inside the Seven Sisters Provincial Park, noted for its spectacular mountain peaks, some of which are visible from the property.

The average Metro Vancouver standalone house is currently running more than $2 million. For that price, in Vancouver, there are a few duplexes or townhouses available, and this "charming vintage 2-storey home."
