Beautiful 40-acre B.C. guest ranch selling for the same price as a Vancouver house

The mountains are part of the same range as the North Shore Mountains.

For anyone looking for a more rural life, a guest ranch in the middle of B.C. is on the market, and it costs about the same as the average detached house in Vancouver.

The Skinner Creek Guest Ranch has a log home and three cabins on a 40-acre property in a mountain valley with views of the wilderness in every direction. The property (and the guest ranch business) is selling for $2.39 million.

The log house is a 3,600-square-foot home that operates as a hub for the three cabins, which each have plumbing and electricity.

The structures are nice, but the big selling feature, according to the listing, is the location and business, which offers 30 km of horse riding or ATV trails, opportunities for a hunting guide outfit, and more. The entire 40 acres is fenced in so the horses can roam the whole property.

While the location is visually spectacular (located just north of Tatlayoko Lake) it's also remote (there's a reason Tatlayoko Lake may not mean anything to most people).

It's located on the north side of the Coast Mountains (the same mountain range as the North Shore Mountains). While the region is sparsely populated there are several small communities in the region, mostly based along Highway 20, which runs between Bella Coola and Williams Lake. Anahim Lake has the closest airport.
