It's no big secret that living in Vancouver comes at a particularly high cost.
You want a water or mountain view? That'll cost extra.
How about panoramic views of the North Shore mountains and downtown, on the water, in one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in the city? That'll cost just a few million more.
Well, $35.88 million, to be exact.
If, like us, you've stared longingly at a lottery ticket imagining what kind of property literally tens of millions of dollars can buy you in Vancouver on more than one occasion, here's your answer.
This six-bed, five-bath residence boasts 6,857 square feet of space, spread across four levels. The 108-year-old luxury home currently has the highest asking price of any residential listings in Vancouver, according to REW Canada.
In addition to the aforementioned ocean and city views, the residence provides an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, with floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as walk-out view-side terraces and manicured private gardens. A private guest suite can be found on the home's upper level, perfect for housing the near-constant visitors this home is sure to attract.
It is situated on a 12,297 square-foot estate located in the prestigious “Golden Miles” area along Point Grey Road. It's currently listed for sale with agent Daniel Tan of Angell Hasman & Associates Realty Ltd.
Just a guess, but we wouldn't bet on the Range Rover or McLaren being included in the listing price, unfortunately.

(UPDATE: The listing price on this property appears to have been reduced since we published this story last week, losing its former title as the priciest listing in town. It's currently listed for $29,999,000, according to REW.)
