Photos: Lakefront B.C. winery estate selling for same price as a Yaletown condo

It's a villa, a vineyard and a wedding venue.

For those dreaming of leaving the city and a more relaxed lifestyle, buying this winery estate on Okanagan Lake might be the perfect move.

And that opportunity exists if you have $6 million readily available.

Oak Estate Winery located near Summerland just south of Kelowna, is a winery (of course), a wedding venue, and a home on the real estate market. It's a relatively new winery; the current owners bought the property in 2020 and the first vintage was finished in 2022.

To run the business, there's a 4,000-square-foot commercial building for the winery (including a wine shop and industrial kitchen), space for outdoor weddings and a whole bunch of grape vines.

While the property has built-in businesses as a venue and vineyard, it also has a home, with six bedrooms and five bathrooms in a nearly 3,800-square-foot villa.

"This sanctuary boasts over 1,000 feet of Okanagan Lakefront with panoramic vista views and a private pathway leading to your beachfront," reads the REW listing.

In Vancouver, $6 million will still go a fair way, getting buyers anything from a posh Yaletown condo to a four-bedroom Kitsilano house, but waterfront views at that price might be hard to come by, and acres of land at that price likely impossible.
