With nearly 2.2 million Canadians predicted to fly over the busy festive season, the country’s major airports will be buzzing. Weather conditions may be unpredictable, but Air Canada’s teams are ready to welcome travellers on more than 1,000 flights per day to over 160 destinations. The airline is providing extra in-person support from agents, and through its mobile app, to make every step of the journey easier (and merrier!) for customers.

Going the extra mile this holiday season

Adding comfort and convenience to every step

Before they even leave their homes, the Air Canada mobile app is the best tool for customers to prepare for navigating busy terminals, carrying extra festive luggage, and getting to the airport on time.

For many travellers, this holiday season is their first visit to the airport this year, so friendly agents will be on hand to guide them through busy terminals. As always, families, seniors and passengers with accessibility needs can count on priority assistance.  Meanwhile, the Air Canada app offers everything they need to travel, right at their fingertips, including real-time updates on flight status, gate changes, live baggage tracking, and more.

For added peace of mind, travellers can now also rely on Air Canada’s new innovative baggage tracking system, a first among Canadian airlines, integrating Apple’s Share Item Location feature into its mobile app  to help quickly reunite them with their luggage.

Festive greetings await at the airport

Air Canada is adding festive touches at airports across the country to make the season even brighter. Travellers  can expect cheerful decor and warm greetings from friendly agents, ready to assist with any questions or help in finding amenities. Twigz Craft Pretzels and Biscoff cookies will be offered near  check-in in select airports including Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

Holiday magic takes to the skies

Air Canada is delivering a festive in-flight experience for all this festive season. The airline is making its popular complimentary beer and wine offering permanent on all domestic and U.S. flights, so travellers can toast the holidays with a selection of craft beers, red and white French wines, and complimentary premium snacks.

Families can really get into the spirit of the season by enjoying holiday-themed content from Air Canada’s entertainment system. The airline has added over 35 new seasonal titles to its award-winning selection of in-flight entertainment system, which also includes Live TV. On select flights, young travellers will also receive a special sweet treat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
