There’s nothing like Christmastime in the city. And this year, we can once again celebrate the joy of the season with outdoor festivals that bring together everything we love about the holidays!
On Sunday, November 28, the Commercial Drive Business Society will host the annual Christmas on The Drive at Grandview Park from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for an afternoon of fun, festive activities and entertainment.
Take a horse-drawn carriage ride along Commercial Drive, or gather up your family and friends to take a free photo with Santa. In the Kids Zone, the little ones will be entertained by a balloon-twisting clown, caricature artist, and an arts and craft area.
On the main stage, live music and entertainment performances include the local children’s group Band of Chickens at 2 p.m. and a live band.
Be sure to stick around for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m. — the true official start to the holiday and shopping season on The Drive— and keep an eye out for some of your favourite Christmas characters roaming the street!
Make it a full day for the family and book a table at one of the many restaurants on The Drive, or shop the day away while filling your list for those naughty and nice!
