Temperatures are dropping, which only means one thing…

You only have a few weeks to get ready for another season on the slopes!

Fortunately, Metro Vancouver’s largest ski and snowboard swap is back for another year of absolutely epic savings, helping you save money while keeping our mountains safe.

Happening Oct. 19 - 20 in Vancouver and Nov. 16 - 17 in Abbotsford, the Canadian Ski Patrol’s Winter Extreme ski and snowboard swap will feature thousands of pieces of new and gently used winter gear available at Black Diamond steep discounts. The gear sold consists mostly of unused stock from past seasons, sometimes reduced by as much as 80% from its original price tag.

Yes, you read that right!

The annual sale is perfect for seasoned skiers and bunny hill boarders alike, as the sale includes everything from name-brand skis and snowboards to outerwear, bindings, boots, and winter gear in all sizes. You can get in on the selling too; the Winter Extreme swap encourages everyone to clean out their garages and closets and bring their old gear here to sell, which you can learn more about HERE.

Last year’s event brought over $1,000,000 worth of winter sports gear to the PNE Forum in Vancouver (and the AG-Rec Building in Abbotsford), and this year’s events are expected to be bigger than ever. This is great news for all of us who enjoy being on the mountain, as 100% of proceeds from each event will go to support the Canadian Ski Patrol, the non-profit charitable organization that provides volunteer first aid and rescue services at Mount Seymour, Cypress Mountain, Manning Park Ski Resort, and Sasquatch Mountain.

The Canadian Ski Patrol is currently composed of more than 4,500 volunteers from coast to coast to coast, each diligently working to help keep us and our mountains a safe place to play all season long. Funds from this event go specifically to volunteer and first aid training, first aid supplies, rescue equipment, and day-to-day operating expenses.

Remember, this event only happens once a year, so whether you’re looking to unload old equipment or stock up on some fresh new gear, do not miss the savings at this year’s swap.
