Wellness Itinerary

Along the shores of Okanagan Lake in the Okanagan Valley, nature draws wellness-lovers near and far. Start your day with breakfast at a healthy eatery like Sprout Bread or Frankie We Salute You, then head out for a hike at Spion Kop where you'll be rewarded with views of 4 different lakes from the top. For those who love to cycle, explore the Okanagan Rail Trail—a 50-km path connecting Kelowna to Vernon. Completing the entire route isn't necessary to make the most of your day; smaller sections like Carney Pond by UBCO for birdwatching or the playground at Kekuli Bay Provincial Park with stunning views of Kalamalka Lake are perfect for families. When you’re ready to decompress,  Tality Forest Spa offers a rejuvenating sauna and cold plunge experience. Located right on Okanagan Lake, Hotel Eldorado at Eldorado Resort makes the perfect home base from which to soak up the area’s wellness and nature offerings. And when booking until September 1, 2024 for stays until mid-October, get 25% off when you stay four nights or longer.

Wine and Dine Itinerary

The Okanagan is a dream for wine lovers who can spend time exploring the more than 40 wineries in the area. Set off along the Scenic Sip for Wine Trail between Lake Country  and Kelowna to take in the spectacular views and enjoy fabulous wine and meals at Block ONE at 50th Parallel, Chaos Bistro at Ex Nihilo and The Lookout at Gray Monk. SpearHead Winery, which was just named Winery of the Year by WineAlign, is also a must. To get the most of your experience and a safe ride back, you can book a guided tour with a local operator. After all of that wining and dining, rest your head at The Royal which is offering a 15% off promotion for Sunday to Thursday stays.

Family-friendly Itinerary

With endless activities to keep both kids and parents entertained, it’s no wonder many families make Kelowna their annual summer vacation spot. Spend the day at Scandia Golf and Games, which features outdoor mini golf and go-karts, and has been voted the Okanagan’s favourite family fun centre. For a more relaxed day, explore the local farms along  the Westside Farm Loop or Farm Gate Trail, or enjoy some time at an Okanagan Lake beach. With over 30 beaches along Okanagan Lake, you can easily find a perfect spot for sunbathing, picnicking or enjoying water activities like paddleboarding and kayaking. When it’s time to refuel, kids will love trying the traditional Indigenous Bannock bread at Kekuli Café. Wondering where to stay? The Cove Lakeside Resort is comfortable for families and right now you can take advantage of the WestCoast Residents’ deal.

Culture Vulture Itinerary

Music and culture aficionados can keep busy this August and September with many shows and events planned. Check out the Kelowna Art Gallery or visit sncewips Heritage Museum to learn about the syilx culture. If you’re interested in a show, Mama Mia will be playing at the Kelowna Actor’s Studio from August 1 to 17, and for the music buff there’s Music in the Park every Friday in August or the Denim on the Diamond music festival from August 31 to September 1. Post-show, enjoy some made-from-scratch pub grub at Provisions at Kettle River. And to keep the party going when you return to your hotel, book a room at the former motel Hotel Zed which has been fabulously updated with pop art paint and offers bikes, roller skate rentals and more.
