Good news – B.C.’s premier mountain resort is about to open for another ski season of schwooping, carving and après-ski excitement.

With expectations of La Niña weather, Whistler Blackcomb is set to get a ton of snow, resulting in what could be one of the best ski seasons in years. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait much longer to get on the mountain, opening day at Whistler Blackcomb is scheduled for Nov. 22. With new upgrades across the resort, Whistler is making it easier than ever to access your favourite runs and amenities. Here’s everything you need to know for the upcoming season.

Skip the ticket line with new mobile passes

This winter, Whistler Blackcomb is introducing a new hands-free mobile pass and mobile lift ticket technology through their My Epic app. Now, you can skip the ticket window by purchasing and activating your pass online and storing it directly in the app. Your pass can be scanned from your pocket, making getting on the slopes as fast as going down the slopes.

The My Epic app, which you can download HERE, will also serve as a one-stop resource for Whistler Blackcomb guests, offering lift access, real-time resort updates, personalized stats, account information and mountain and resort alerts, including snow reports and base conditions.

To ensure a smooth transition, physical pass and lift ticket cards will continue to be available and activated upon request throughout the 2024/25 season. In future seasons, these cards will remain accessible for guests who cannot or prefer not to use their phones.
