Massey Theatre is overjoyed to present a dynamic lineup of fantastic shows this 2021/2022 season!
As B.C. reopens in a safe and responsible way, audiences will be welcomed to come and enjoy performances as they are meant to be seen — live and in person.
“We are so proud to have made it through this pandemic as an organization. We’ve pulled together one of our most exciting programs ever to bring people back to cultural experiences,” said Jessica Schneider, Executive Director, Massey Theatre Society.
Massey Theatre’s return season reflects the diverse lenses and interests of the community with a variety of exceptional musical and comedic entertainment to brighten our hearts with joy and laughter.
Included in the upcoming show calendar are performers of contemporary Indigenous music, pop, folk, rock, guitar jazz, and comedy, with a range that includes Martha Wainwright to Shaun Majumder.

MARTHA WAINWRIGHT ON NOVEMBER 16, 2021
Martha Wainwright will grace the Massey Theatre stage as part of the tour of her new album, Love Will Be Reborn. The beguiling performer and songwriter’s fifth studio album follows recent years of loneliness and clarity in search of optimism and joy.
INTERNATIONAL GUITAR NIGHT ON JANUARY 28, 2022
2022’s International Guitar Night returns with a dynamic and eclectic lineup of acoustic guitarists from around the world. The celebration of guitar music will feature Latin Swing master Lulo Reinhardt from Germany, contemporary classical guitarist Stephanie Jones from Australia, two-hand “tapper” Alexandr Misko from Russia, and jazz guitarist and vocalist Eleanora “Lele” Strino from Italy.
SHAUN MAJUMDER ON FEBRUARY 3, 2022
Hilarious comedian, riveting performer, and former “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” star Shaun Majumder is back with his new show, LOVE — a narrative flip from his 2019 HATE tour in response to living amid the rise of hate he had witnessed in the U.S. and Canada.

ARTS CLUB THEATRE COMPANY’s “NOISES OFF” ON FEBRUARY 15-27, 2022
Produced by Arts Club Theatre Company, “Noises Off” — the pre-pandemic hit show by Michael Frayn — is being remounted as one of the largest and most fun productions to be staged at Massey for a special two-week run.
Hailed as the funniest farce ever written, the show will treat audiences to a hilarious peek at a second-tier acting troupe performing a show. The dizzying play-within-a-play is sure to leave you doubled over with laughter.
ISKWĒ ON MARCH 12, 2022
iskwē | ᐃᐢᑫᐧᐤ (short for waseskwan iskwew, meaning “blue sky woman”) is an artist, a creator, a storyteller, and a communicator of music and of movement, of pictures, poetry and prose. Her solo tour brings timely magic and light to tales of our past, present, and future.
“OVER THE RIDGE” ON APRIL 29-30, 2022
“Over the Ridge” is a multidisciplinary concert that incorporates direct storytelling, verbatim theatre, live music, and dance from spoken word artist Brendan McLeod, folk rock powerhouse band The Fugitives, choreographer Jacob Williams, and the dancers of Ballet BC, This emotional, powerful, and evocative look at our Nation’s past examines the personal accounts of the young soldiers from the “battle that made Canada” — Vimy Ridge.
