As we ease back into our social rhythms, this summer in Vancouver will be all about reconnecting with our family and friends safely outside in our local neighbourhoods.
South Granville is excited to welcome Vancouverites back with two fantastic plazas — the perfect way to facilitate outdoor public gatherings in small social bubbles!
In partnership with the City of Vancouver, the South Granville BIA has launched two temporary public spaces on 13th and 14th Avenue, where people can “Hang Out to Help Out” and take advantage of all the great experiences this lively neighbourhood provides.
Enjoy these exciting new open spaces and safely socialize all summer long. Order delicious takeout from nearby South Granville restaurants like Breakfast Table or The Rise Eatery or treat yourself to the city’s best croissants from Small Victory — or just soak in the nice weather as you lounge between beautiful public art and lush greenery.

Catch up with friends over a fine glass of wine and delicious bistro appies at Stable House Bistro or grab a table and bring over your meals from home.
The pop-up Plaza on 13th has picnic tables for use all day, while the Plaza on 14th has comfortable outdoor furniture—generously provided by South Granville’s neighbourhood partners—for public use during the daytime.
And more great additions are on the way: The South Granville BIA has raised the plaza experience by providing a scannable code to see all the menus of the South Granville eateries close by.
With these outdoor spaces, you can look forward to creating some great memories as you visit your favourite South Granville spots again!
