Production is centered in three areas, including the original growing zone of Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, which lies in the countryside between Venice and the Dolomite Mountains in the Veneto region, where Prosecco has been produced for centuries.
Due to its unique landscape and wine cultivation dating back to ancient times, Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene is a historic winemaking region like no other, and was recognized as such in 2019 when the area was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore are home to thousands of winemakers who have shaped the steep slopes and perfected their agricultural techniques, allowing the creation of a richly varied agricultural landscape. For more than two centuries, these families have continued to produce handcrafted effervescent wines and pass on these winemaking traditions on to future generations.

Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G sparkling wines only come from the renowned vineyards of Conegliano Valdobbiadene — signifying the highest standards and quality, as well as concentrated flavour and balance.
Prosecco Superiore is produced in a number of distinct variations, with the most common and iconic being Spumante (fully sparkling) in four fundamental styles — extra brut, brut, extra dry, and dry.
In 2019, a new type of Prosecco Superiore was introduced with Sui Lieviti, the name of the first version of Prosecco to be made in Conegliano Valdobbiadene, paying homage to the long history of winemaking in the area.
Special selections of Prosecco Superiore include Rive and Superiore di Cartizze. Rive refers to the steep vineyards high up in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and are true representatives of the terroir, and Superiore di Cartizze comes from a small area of 108 hectares, with one million bottles released a year.
