People don’t love autumn because of the majestic fall colours, they love the sweet treats and seasonal flavours!

Think about it, cinnamon, cloves, apples, nutmeg, figs, honey, and pumpkin (not to mention Halloween candy). It’s definitely the best season to be a tastebud and that’s probably why we can’t resist being little extra indulgent this time of year. Maybe our instincts are just telling us to pack on a little extra warmth for the winter. Whatever it is, we’re so down.
Fortunately the West Coast is warm which means we don’t have to limit ourselves to baked goods and hot chocolate. In fact, the treats we’re most looking forward to are the new fall flavours at Amato Gelato Café.

Rather than sticking to the typical (yawwwwn) fall flavour profiles, Amato has branched out beyond pumpkin-spice and is instead offering some truly inventive pairings. Staying true to their old-world methods, each of the new fall flavours features local BC ingredients and the tried-and-true methods of a 40 year-old family run business. Here’s a taste of what’s currently being scooped from their location in the Olympic Village.

In addition to the seasonal offerings, Amato will still be serving up traditional flavours, authentic sorbetto and even a few vegan options.
