There aren’t many safe places near Vancouver where kids can literally bounce off the walls. But Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Surrey provides an incredibly safe, clean environment that makes for a perfect day trip for Vancouverites.
“There’s a culture of safety that permeates this place,” says Morey Chaplick, owner of Sky Zone in Surrey.
The court monitors at the indoor trampoline park train for weeks at Sky Zone University, and managers are trained extensively in California, where the franchise is based.
The 30,000-square-foot facility has plenty of oversight from employees who are prepared to handle any situation, from giving bouncing advice to treating minor injuries.
And with more than 10,000 people visiting the facility since it opened, they’ve only had to treat a rolled ankle so far, Chaplick says.
“Jumping at Sky Zone is about as dangerous as playing a round of golf,” Chaplick adds.
The Surrey trampoline park is the only Sky Zone in Western Canada. The company has been operating for 20 years and has 200 franchises worldwide.
Sky Zone is the gold standard for trampoline parks, according to Chaplick. He discovered Sky Zone when he lived in Toronto and took his son there, and was impressed by the safe, fun facility.
Sky Zone is at 11125-124th Street in Surrey, a short getaway from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver. It’s a short drive from downtown.
The trampoline park is also right across the road from Scott Road SkyTrain station, for those looking to take the easy route. The SkyTrain trip takes approximately 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
