Air Canada aficionados and bonafide globetrotters may want to take advantage of some low-cost vacation packages and special offers as part of a massive international sale.
Canada's largest airline is offering a global Black Friday Sale that includes cash and Aeroplan points bonuses on flights around the world. The sale applies to all fare classes on travel between Nov. 21, 2022, and June 30, 2023. Customers can take advantage of the offer until Nov. 27.
This year, customers can "choose their own adventure" with Aeroplan points as part of the airline's promotion. They can select between 50 per cent bonus points on Economy fares and vacations packages, 100 per cent bonus points on Premium Economy and Business Class fares, or five per cent points back of at least 1,000 to 25,000 points on eligible flight offers.
Travellers will also earn one bonus point per $1 spent when they buy up to $750 in Air Canada Gift Cards, and three bonus points per $1 spent on purchases over $750.
While there aren't reduced prices on flights, Aeroplan members will be able to redeem their points for future travel.
With this in mind, there are several low-cost flight options available in the new year. Air Canada's direct service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Bankgok International Airport (BKK) commences Dec. 1 and offers the only direct route to the coveted Southeast Asian city from North America.

Currently, prices are extremely low for the nonstop option, with the lowest fares starting at $1409.06 including all taxes and fees on select dates.
Air Canada Flights from Vancouver included in Black Friday Sale
Air Canada is offering 40 per cent off on Air Canada Vacations packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America as well as select flight and hotel packages to Hawaii, Miami, New York City, Orlando, Las Vegas, and California.
Alpine enthusiasts can also enjoy $250 per couple off Canadian ski packages or enjoy deals on Europe packages that include flights, hotels, and more.
The package deals apply to travel between Feb. 1 and April 30, 2023 and must be booked by Nov. 24.
Travellers can enjoy hundreds of dollars off on popular destinations out of YVR. For example, a seven-night package from Vancouver to Puerto Vallarta staying in the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm regularly costs $1,759 per person. With the sale, guests pay $1,569 per person or a savings of $190. For a couple, this amount works out to a total savings of $380.
