Looking to get away on the cheap?
For Vancouverties looking for a change of scenery without a lengthy flight, Los Angeles offers world-class dining, shopping, nightlife, and more. Best of all, a flight to the 'City of Angels' is typically under three hours direct.
The federal government still advises against all non-essential travel outside of Canada but the Great White North may see international advisories lifted before the end of the year.
If you are looking to travel later this fall, however, you'll need to roll up your sleeves (if you haven't already, that is). Canadian air travellers will need to be fully vaccinated by the end of October if they wish to fly.
The Government of Canada has also announced that it's working with the provinces and territories to develop a COVID-19 vaccine passport for international travel.
Right now, a ticket available through WestJet costs a total of $276.04 CAD including all taxes and fees. The flight departs Vancouver on Tuesday, Sept. 21 and returns on Saturday, Sept. 24; both flights are nonstop.
