Travellers looking to fly from Vancouver to Ireland can take advantage of ultra-low fares this fall.
While trips to Italy or Greece cost nearly $1,500 per person, round-trip flights to the Emerald Isle cost almost half that.
Travellers can find one-way tickets from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Dublin Airport (DUB) for just over $400 on several dates in August. Prices drop to under $350 one-way in mid-to-late September.
The cheapest one-way tickets start under $350 and are available through October. However, they jump back up in November and remain elevated into December.
For example, a WestJet flight departing Vancouver on Oct. 3 includes two stopovers in Kelowna and Calgary. Each layover is only about an hour and a half long, meaning you won't have too much extra time added to your overall journey. The ticket costs as low as $336 with third-party suppliers or $342 direct through WestJet (see slide two).
Round-trip flight options from Vancouver to Dublin, Ireland
A flight departing Vancouver on Oct. 19 includes two stopovers in Kelowna and Calgary. The return flight from Dublin on Oct. 23 only includes one stopover. The flights cost as low as $661 if the outbound and return trips are booked on separate tickets through third-party suppliers. Tickets cost $753 directly through WestJet (see slide three).
According to Google Flights, tickets around $661 are considered "low" for the economy class on this route, with return trips typically costing around $758 more.
Located three hours from Dublin, the Irish capital, the stunning Cliffs of Moher is Ireland's most visited tourist attraction. These spectacular cliffs rise an incredible 702 feet at their highest point, just north of O'Brien's Tower. Many people spend half a day viewing the majestic rock faces.
