Hot deal alert: You can fly from Vancouver to London, England for $274

Visit London's iconic attractions on an ultra-cheap flight from Vancouver.

Flights from Vancouver to London, England drop in price by hundreds of dollars in the new year.

England's capital city draws tourists in droves, offering a bounty of coveted attractions, including Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and the National Gallery, as well as expansive shopping options, a vibrant nightlife scene, and much more.

Return flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) can easily cost upwards of $1,100, particularly during peak travel times.

For flights in September, travellers can find flights slightly lower than peak costs, with return trips starting between $900 to $1,000. Prices remain flat through most of October and then drop during the last week of the month to just under $800.

November will see the lowest prices in 2024, with return trips between Vancouver and London starting at under $900. Prices start climbing as the winter holiday season approaches, with trips starting at $1,100 to $1,200 in mid-December.

Prices for Vancouver-London flights drop at the start of 2025

Travellers can find numerous low-cost options for one-way and return flights between Vancouver and London in January and February 2025.

For example, flights departing YVR for LHR on Feb. 14, 2025, start at $274 with WestJet. To score this price, travellers must book through a third party; the ticket costs $294 directly through WestJet in the airline's UltraBasic fare class (see slide three).

This option includes a pair of stops in Kelowna and Calgary but travellers looking for a faster route can enjoy an itinerary on the same date with only a stop in Calgary for an hour for $313 with WestJet (see slide two).

Round-trip options start at under $800 with WestJet in February. A trip departing YVR on Feb. 4, 2025, and returning from LHR on Feb. 11, 2025, costs $761 and includes stops in Kelowna and Calgary on the outbound and one in Calgary on the return (see slide five).

Travellers who aren't keen on making two stops on the outbound leg of the trip can find options through WestJet ($809) with only one stopover or fully nonstop ones with British Airways ($955) or Air Canada ($966) (see slide four).

WestJet's $761 price for a round-trip flight between YVR and LHR is considered "low" for the economy class and is roughly $317 cheaper than usual.
