Flights to the City of Light from the Lower Mainland cost hundreds of dollars less in the new year for travellers booking right now.
While round-trip tickets from Vancouver to Paris, France can set travellers back well over a thousand during peak travel times (during holidays, major events, and the summer), they can enjoy fares less than half this amount in January and February.
Many people flocked to the iconic city during the Paris Summer Olympics or to enjoy an Emily in Paris moment by the Eiffel Tower in the springtime. However, the winter months offer an opportunity to explore the French capital without fighting crowds of tourists or spending hours in lineups at the Louvre and other popular attractions.
For instance, one-way trips from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) cost under $300 on several dates starting after Jan. 10, 2025, and continuing through the end of February.
Travellers can fly from YVR to CDG on a two-stop itinerary with WestJet on Wednesday, Jan. 15, for as little as $278, including all taxes and fees. The trip includes a one-hour layover in Kelowna and a two-hour one in Calgary (see slide one).
Tickets booked directly through WestJet start at $292 but the airline's lowest fare class, Ultrabasic, does not include carry-on luggage or ticket changes. The lowest-priced tickets are available through third-party suppliers, starting at $278. However, travellers should ensure they read the terms and conditions carefully before booking and read reviews.
According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $147 cheaper than usual.
Booking a one-way ticket to Paris and another ticket back from a different city may reduce the round-trip ticket cost. This option is also ideal for travellers visiting more than one country on their holiday.
Round-trip flights from Vancouver to Paris in 2025
The cheapest round-trip flights with WestJet from Vancouver to Paris involve two stops (also in Kelowna and Calgary) in both directions and cost $553 through a third-party supplier. Alternatively, travellers can book tickets directly through WestJet for as little as $632 in the UltraBasic or $716 in Econo classes (see slides four and five).
Travellers can find dates at this price using Google's calendar to find the cheapest options starting after Jan. 10, 2025. According to Google Flights, this price ($553) is considered "low" for the economy or $310 cheaper than usual.
People preferring to visit Paris on a one-stop itinerary can find tickets starting at $563 with WestJet through a third-party supplier on select dates. These tickets include one stop in Calgary (generally between one and two hours) starting mid-January through February (see slides six and seven).
According to Google Flights, this price is considered "low" for economy or $358 cheaper than usual.
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
