Fiji Airways' direct flights from Vancouver to Nadi are on sale for half price for round-trip tickets again.
Fiji's Flag carrier offers the only non-stop route connecting Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Nadi International Airport (NAN).
Nadi is a town on the county's largest island, Viti Levu. The capital and largest city, Suva, is also on the big island.
But with 333 remote tropical islands, visitors will discover plenty of crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, blazing sunshine, a rich history, and numerous activities.
Discount on return trips from Vancouver to Fiji
Travellers looking to plan a vacation in Fiji have several low-cost options to take advantage of starting at the end of August and into September.
For example, a flight departing Vancouver on Monday, Sept. 2, and returning a week later from Nadi on Sept. 9 costs $891 (see slide two).
According to Google Flights, this price is roughly $752 cheaper than usual, with the cheapest tickets for similar trips typically averaging $1,500 to $2,050.
Third-party companies offer the cheapest tickets but customers should check reviews to ensure they feel comfortable booking. Overseas companies may not have English-speaking customer service representatives (see slide three for pricing differences).
Google ranks booking options on "factors like price, link quality, type of partner, and experience on the partner site."
Tickets booked directly with Fiji Airways cost $957 or $66 more than the cheapest third-party option.
Tickets booked from June through mid-August cost about double the price, with many of the cheapest options starting over $2,000 (see slide four).
