Locals looking to get a taste of paradise at a steal have several options to take advantage of right now — but they'll have to plan their holiday in advance.
Fiji's flagship airline currently has several low-cost flights from Vancouver to multiple destinations in the South Pacific, including its hub city in Fiji, Nadi, as well as Australian cities such as Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide. It also flies to Christchurch, Auckland, and Wellington in New Zealand.
Fiji Airways is currently offering flights from Vancouver that fly direct to the country's capital city, Nadi, which is located on its largest island.
From glistening white-sand beaches to vibrant coral reefs, rugged, tree-lined shores to vibrant, tropical flowers, Nadi oozes paradisaical enchantment.
Right now, residents of the Lower Mainland can take advantage of airfare for as low as $739.06 CAD including all taxes and fees, which is approximately half the price of a regular ticket. But they may have to wait for a few months to enjoy their tropical getaway.
The flight departs on Friday, April 21, 2023, and returns on Monday, May 8, 2023; both flights depart in the evening after 10 p.m.
Fiji Airways, which is Fiji's national carrier, announced on July 5 that it will fly directly from Nadi to YVR, starting Nov. 25, 2022.
