Travellers can get massive discounts on flights to numerous destinations across Europe thanks to a flash sale from a transatlantic carrier.
Norse Atlantic Airways is offering a sale on flights that depart from several major cities across the United States to popular tourist destinations across Europe.
Popular routes from New York include London, Olso, and Berlin, while routes from Miami include London, Paris, and Berlin. Los Angeles routes included in the sale fly to London and Oslo.
Other cities that fly to Europe and are featured in the sale include Boston, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Barbados, Washington Dulles, Orlando, and Bangkok, as well as Kingston and Montego Bay in Jamaica.
The sale runs until Monday, July 24 at 9 p.m. local time in Vancouver.
Prices for one-way tickets start at just under US$99 including all taxes and fees for a flight from Boston to the London-Gatwick airport, but there are several other jaw-dropping offers, including a one-way flight from Miami to Paris for only US$139 or a flight from Los Angeles to London for just US$179.
How to use flights to Vancouver with the Norse Europe Sale
Travellers from Vancouver can use Google Flights to find low-cost options to cities across the U.S. and have a "two-for-one" travel experience for less than half the price they'd pay just travelling to Europe.
Travel tip: While it may also be possible to line flights up so that you don't spend time in the U.S. and can use the first half of the itinerary as stopovers en route to Europe, you run the risk of missing a connection. Many return tickets from Vancouver to U.S. cities included in the Norse sale cost under $500, which could save hundreds off the final ticket price to multiple European destinations. For example, a flight that costs $200 from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) can be paired with a couple of Norse flights from L.A. to London-Gatwick that are priced together at US$356.40, which converts to roughly C$470.66. The final ticket will cost roughly $670.66 including all taxes and fees.
The cheapest return flights connecting Vancouver with Boston also start at under $400, meaning locals can take advantage of the jaw-dropping $99 dollar fare to get a cheap ticket London-Gatwick, too.
The applicable travel dates vary by destination, although most of them commence toward the end of September and continue for several months. A few start at the end of August while others start in November or in the new year.
