An observant traveller spotted a pair of tiny, unwanted guests while passing through Vancouver International Airport (YVR) over the weekend.
On Sunday (Sept. 18), the individual snapped a photo of two mice by Gate D54 in the international departures at YVR airport. The gate is located beside a washroom and near several restaurants and fast food outlets, including the Lift Bar and Grill, A&W, Hanami, Express, Subway, and Illy Cafe and Relay.
The traveller, who claims in their Twitter bio that they are a pilot on an Airbus A350, took to the social media platform on Sunday night to share the image.
"Two little furry friends by gate D54. They missed their flight. Maybe someone wants to come and get them?!" they wrote.

In a tweet, YVR's media team wrote, "Oh my...thank you for the heads up! We'll notify our team members to attend to this as soon as possible."
In an emailed statement, YVR told Vancouver Is Awesome that the "health and safety of our travellers and employees is our top priority" but the airport has numerous doors and windows and animals find their way inside "from time to time."
"We continually work with our partners, including our food and beverage operators and pest control, to regularly monitor and address this aspect of our operation. If any passengers or employees see wildlife in the terminal, we ask they notify our Operations Centre so we can investigate," added YVR.
