Air Canada aficionados and bonafide globetrotters may want to take advantage of some low-cost flights as part of a massive international sale.
Canada's largest airline is offering its "worldwide sale" on tickets to over 180 destinations across the globe for travel from Sept. 21, 2022 all the way to May 31, 2023.
The sale ends, which ends on Wednesday (Sept. 14) just before midnight, applies to all Air Canada-operated flights out of your departure city on Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class "base fares" when booking on the Air Canada site and cannot be combined with any other discount offer.
When it comes to codeshare flights, only ones to the United States with United Airlines are applicable; all other destinations are excluded from codeshare flights.
The savings are sweeter for Aeroplan members, who will earn an extra 50 per cent bonus points on their next flight booking as part of the sale, too. That said, you must be an Aeroplan member to take advantage of the deals. If you are not a member, you can visit the Aeroplan website to sign up (membership is free).
While it is a "worldwide" sale, there are several discounts on domestic routes, too. For example, the coveted Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Toronto costs roughly $127 CAD including tax for a one-way ticket, while the opposite direction is going for as low as $143 CAD.
Travellers looking to visit Asia will find low-cost, direct options to Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Seoul, while an economy class ticket to Sydney, Australia is going for just under $1,200 CAD for a return trip.
A round-trip journey to Auckland, New Zealand is just over $1,200 CAD, while one to Bangkok, Thailand is $890 CAD including all taxes and fees.
Deals to Panama City from Vancouver are ultra-low, with a return, economy class ticket selling for as little as $927 CAD including tax.
