A popular place in Vancouver to grab a burger and beer, Brewhall, announced its establishment's temporary closure Thursday night due to COVID-19.
The craft brewery on 97 E 2nd Ave. released a statement via social media, describing its decision:
“We have been informed of potential exposure to COVID-19 by a guest who visited our beer hall on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to temporarily close as the health and safety of our guests and staff is our number one priority.”
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has not listed the establishment on its public exposures website.
“At this time, we are still waiting to receive confirmation and next steps from Vancouver Coastal Health,” said a restaurant spokesperson.
“VCH has not deemed a risk to anyone who visited our beer hall," they assured.
There is no date set for the brewery’s reopening.
