The West End's beer-centric Blind Sparrow gastropub has been on Denman for almost three years, but they've just announced a move to a new location not too far away.
Blind Sparrow will relocate from 751 Denman Street to 1210 Denman Street, moving into the lounge space of Hook Seabar.
The two restaurants are not strange bedfellows, actually--they have the same owner, Michael Gayman, as well as the same chef, Kayla Dhaliwal.
Hook Seabar opened with its seafood-focused menu in the summer of 2017 in the space vacated by Milestone's, right on English Bay. Interestingly, another big chain has just revealed they are vacating the prime West End Vancouver real estate of English Bay: The Boathouse will close up their longstanding outpost there in early October.
Blind Sparrow will operate in its original location until September 22, 2018, and will debut in the Hook Seabar lounge space on September 23.
