If you caught last week's episode of The Big Bang Theory you probably didn't realize the B.C. local in the background.
During a scene between characters Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy's parents (Kathy Bates and Raymond Teller from Penn & Teller), a bag of Fresh is Best chips can be seen sitting on the corner of a counter.
Patrick O'Sullivan, operations director for Fresh is Best, says they've heard from a bunch of people who recognized the bag, and it's been fun seeing the product show up on one of the biggest TV shows in the world.
"In the show, with a global audience, it was nice, something special," he says. "A few people noticed."
"It really makes us feel very special."
While it was a pleasant surprise, O'Sullivan says it wasn't totally unexpected, as Fresh is Best's marketing team has worked to get the chips on the small screen with a company that specializes in product placement.
"The expectation is that it would happen at some stage," he says. "I'm sure there are lots of other choices; we were the fortunate ones to be chosen."
If you're looking for these famous chips in Vancouver, they're available at most retailers and at the Fresh Is Best store (yes, they have an entire store) on Broadway.
