"Come here Bella!" or "Who's a good boy? Charlie is!"
Does that sound like you or the dog owners in your neighbourhood?
Count those pooches among those with some of the most popular names for dogs in Vancouver this year.
A just-released list by Rover.com compiles the most popular pet names across the county, as well as in major cities in the nation.
Taking top honours locally in Vancouver are names like Bella and Luna for female dogs and Charlie and Milo for male dogs.
Meanwhile, nationwide, you'll hear pup parents also calling out for Bella and Charlie the most; both those names top the national lists too.
One major trend from coast to coast for 2020 has been the popularity of Canadian TV hit Schitt's Creek, with names like Twyla, Alexis, and Stevie, and, yes, even David, which was big for dogs but even bigger for cats.
Speaking of cats, Rover.com also revealed the nation's most popular cat names for our feline friends, but similarly, you'll find lots of Lunas, Bellas, Milos, and Charlies curled up inside empty Amazon boxes and scratching at the couch arms, along with Basils, Lokis, and Willows.
