Don't bother counting the calories if you're planning to enjoy some tasty treats at this year's PNE Fair.
Whether you're craving sweet or savoury, Vancouver's iconic annual exhibition returns with a host of delectable delights.
Some of 2021's participating concessionaires include Cin City Donuts, Summerland Soft Serve, REEL Mac and Cheese, The Praguery, Tin Lizzy Concessions, and more.
Returning food vendors include Jimmy's Lunch, which has been at the historic site for over 90 years.
"We've been here since 1929, original fair hamburger. I am Jimmy's great-grandson," remarks the family's Griffin Parsons.
In addition to some fair favourites, there are several options for the health-conscious. Vegetarian and vegan foods are available, including Beyond Burgers at two outlets.
"Healthy is maybe not the term we'd use, but we're giving a sustainable alternative," jokes The Plant Butcher owner Jason Faria.
A new app gives access to an interactive map that helps visitors find every food vendor on-site.
Some precautions have been implemented by fair organizers to ensure health and safety protocols are being followed.
The 111th PNE Fair runs until September 6 from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. The exhibition is closed Mondays, except Labour Day.
