Delta Police on Wednesday released video that shows the last known location and direction of travel of a missing 21-year-old North Delta man.
The video of Anmol Jagat was captured at 12:42 a.m. Oct. 24 walking northbound in the 8100 block of 112A in North Delta.
The footage can be viewed here.
According to DPD, he is believed to have headed northbound on 112th afterward.
Any individuals or businesses with CCTV or dashcam, which could have captured Jagat walking in the area, are urged to review their footage.
Police note South Fraser Search and Rescue was deployed Oct. 30 in an effort to help locate Jagat.
Search and Rescue personnel conducted an extensive search along the Fraser River, on Annacis Island, in the bog and in several wooded areas and paths in North Delta.
Police have also continued to pursue a number of other investigative avenues, including drone and helicopter searches, in addition to foot patrols and a canvass of the area.
Police last week asked for the public’s help in helping locate the man, who left his family’s North Delta residence near 114th and 80th on Sunday, Oct. 24.
He is described as: 6’1” tall with a medium build, long black hair and wears glasses.
He was last seen wearing black pants, black shoes, a white jacket and a green shirt, with a black toque.
“Anmol’s family is extremely concerned for his safety, and says disappearing in such a manner is not in his character,” said DPD spokesperson Cris Leykauf in a news release last week.
She noted the family moved to North Delta three months from outside B.C., so Jagat is not that familiar with the area.
He’s known to like forested areas and does not use transit.
If you have any information about Jagat’s disappearance, such as home security camera footage, which may capture his image, please call Delta Police at 604-946-4411.
If you believe you see him, please call 9-1-1.
