Vancouver's weather to close out January may get a little gloomy.
And while no warnings are in place, you're advised to carry an umbrella wherever you may go as the city appears to be in for a gradual downpour.
Weatherhood's latest data shows nearly 50 mm of rainfall is predicted between Thursday, Jan. 30, and Friday night.
Mother Nature will bring in the bulk of the precipitation, nearly 40 mm, by the end of the day Friday.
This also includes around 15 mm around noon on Friday, decreasing for the rest of the day but with no breaks in between.
The forecast also calls for winds up to 15 km/h each day this week.
The rain will ease up in Vancouver's inland areas, such as Hastings-Sunrise, Strathcona, Killarney, Kerrisdale, Trout Lake and Mount Pleasant.
However, those neighbourhoods could see less than 1 cm of snow overnight Thursday before the rain officially arrives.
Daily temperatures are expected to rise to 7 to 8 C at day's peak.
