The Metro Vancouver weather forecast includes milder temperatures following a wintry weekend.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Friday, Dec. 8, cautioning travellers about hazardous driving conditions due to the inclement weather.
Parts of the Lower Mainland received a light dusting of snowfall on Saturday, with some areas accumulating several centimetres of the white stuff through the duration of the frosty event.
The Weather Network meteorologist Brad Atchison shared an image of a petite snowman he crafted during the snowstorm in New Westminster in the early afternoon. Although there wasn't enough snow to make a large one, he noted that there was "definitely enough to make a small Snowman."

Other places didn't see any snowfall on Saturday but received significant rainfall, including areas below 200 metres above sea level.
Folks in the city of Vancouver didn't see any snowfall over the weekend and should experience a drier, milder start to the week.
Environment Canada called for Monday to see overnight lows dip below zero in parts of the Lower Mainland. However, the week is expected to be milder than previously expected.
